This learning stage focuses on gross motor skills. Different activities are promoted, such as: the balancing bean, stair climbing, movement exercises, and body coordination.
Early stimulation is used to enhance cognitive, social, and emotional development, while being respectful of individual development and predisposition.
In this group we introduce two areas of the Montessori Method:
Practical Life: These tasks are similar to ones the child sees adults do every day, always age appropriate.
Sensorial: Activities that aim to introduce new words (later used to explore the outside world), and refine small motor skills in preparation for writing, as well as to develop hand-eye coordination movements in order to prepare for reading.
